Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
mysnipbox is built to be local-first: your images, tags and prompts live on your own device. This policy explains the small amount of personal data that we and our service providers handle when you visit this website, buy a license or use the desktop app. Studio Loong is the controller of that data.
The short version
- The App has no account or login, and it doesn't upload your images or tags to us.
- AI analysis goes from your device straight to the provider you choose, using your own API key.
- The Site uses Google Analytics only after you accept, plus ordinary hosting logs.
- Purchases are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record; we never see your card details.
The desktop app
Everything you create in the App (images, tags, personas, templates, settings) is stored on your device. API keys are kept in your operating system's secure keychain, not on our systems.
The App contacts the following only when you use the related feature:
- Lemon Squeezy (license service) โ when you activate, deactivate or re-check a license, the App sends your license key, an activation ID and a device label made of your operating system's name and your computer's name (which can contain your own name), along with the IP address that any network request carries.
- AI providers you set up (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini) โ the image and prompt you choose to analyze, sent from your device with your own API key. Their privacy policies apply. Local models (for example through Ollama) stay on your machine; downloading a local model contacts its host (for example Hugging Face).
- Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive โ only if you connect sync. Data goes to your own account there, and you sign in with Google or Microsoft directly; we don't receive your credentials.
- Our error-reporting service (Sentry) โ off by default. If you switch on automatic error reporting in Settings, or send a bug report yourself, the App sends error details after removing home-folder file paths, API-key-like strings and access tokens. We use them only to fix bugs.
The App doesn't include advertising or usage-analytics tools.
This website
Hosting. The Site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, in order to deliver and protect the Site.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the Site is used, for example which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. It runs in Google's Consent Mode: until you click Accept, analytics storage and all advertising signals are switched off, so no analytics cookies are set. Google Analytics may still receive limited signals that don't use cookies, such as the page address, referrer and browser language, which it uses for aggregate statistics. If you click Accept, Google Analytics sets cookies (for example _ga) to recognize returning browsers. We never enable advertising or ad-personalization features.
The events we record include page views, clicks on the buy and demo buttons, language changes, FAQ openings and use of the online demo (for example copying a prompt). We don't send your name or email address to Google Analytics.
Your browser. The Site also saves a few preferences in your browser's local storage: your language, your cookie choice and your demo templates. They stay in your browser and aren't sent to us. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them and shows the cookie banner again.
The online demo runs in your browser with built-in sample data; it doesn't upload your files.
Purchases
When you buy, Lemon Squeezy collects your payment details, name, email address, billing country and tax information, and acts as the seller of record. We receive limited order data from them (such as your email address, name, country, order details and license key) so that we can deliver your license and support you. We never see your full card number. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy applies to the data it collects.
Support emails
If you email us, we use your address and your message to reply and to improve the product. We keep them for as long as needed for that purpose.
Why we use data
If the GDPR or a similar law applies to you, we rely on these legal bases:
- Delivering what you bought and supporting you โ performing our contract with you.
- Measuring and improving the Site โ your consent (analytics).
- Keeping the Site secure and preventing fraud and abuse โ our legitimate interests.
- Keeping the records the law requires, for example for tax โ legal obligation.
International transfers
These providers may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where the law requires it, they rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep data
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. Order and licensing records are kept for as long as the law and our accounting require. Support emails are kept as long as needed to help you and to handle follow-ups. Error reports are kept only as long as needed to fix the problem.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your personal data, to receive a copy of it, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To use these rights, email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority. To withdraw analytics consent, clear this site's data in your browser.
Children
The App and the Site aren't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version; if a change is significant, we'll say so on the Site.
